Hi I'm Nicole and I'm 19 years old.
This year was my first year of college and I was so excited. After 1 and 1/2 quarters at AIP they threw a fit about my "unopened" ged. and ended up kicking out of class because of it. I had gotten a private loan for everything but school ex. car payments, food, rent, clothes, and anything else a freshmen on there own would need. Well upon leaving school I got a phone call from AES, for my private loan saying i was 400$ past due. I had told the woman that I asked for deferment and that I was going to be started back into school in the next month or so. Well the total for that loan was 28,000$. By time i got the next bill and a statement saying I signed a paper for automatic repayment the new bill was $910.41 I believe. Well I called my mom and said listen im trying to get back into school and reach me goals I've set I only have time to work 20 hours max a week and I don't know what to do. My mom wrote a check for 910.41 and put some of her bills on hold of me. She's the best mom a girl could have. But there's more.

I moved out of my own Apt. because my ex roommate went crazy and wrote notes and email and texts says how and when she was going to kill me. she would hold my mail with her until her knew my bills were due, and take parking tickets off my car and give them to me after the had reached their max totals. Now I am up to date on my Capital One Bill but still Owe $500.00. When i started working for Macy's Cosmetics they reopened another card in audition to the one i already had. After 4 months of not knowing I had that card I got and keep getting phone calls saying I owe $300 something on one card but am up to date on the other card but still owe $300.00 on that card. My car is now totally paid off thanks to that loan, but my auto insurance is $144.00 a month. And my Student loan payment are still rolling in along with other loans from going to school.

I've been forced to leave school and try to find another job. I get paid $8.50 hrs +.03 com. and only working 20 -25 hours a week + all my new found debt I cant keep my self from crying. But I'm the girl who wanted to grow up and live on my own and go to college. But this 19 year old does not want to claim bankrupt yet. Please help me. If there is anything you can do, please let me know.

Don't worry! Everything will be alright. You need some professional guidance and handle your accounts. Definitely increase your source of income so that you are able to pay the bills under the plan fixed by the consultant and pay the daily expenses. Your mom is very good. Talk to her one more time and see if she can offer you more help.

Don't go the bankruptcy route right now. You still have many options and keep things under control. I am sure one of the debt management plan is going to work.
