You won't see the "donate" button in your profile because you can't donate the points to self. You will find this button in other ids to donate your points.

You will have to keep track of when you cashed them in. I sent my self a pm to remind me of the number of points when I last cashed out. Just throw the number in the subject area of a pm to yourself, then when you go into your mailbox it will be there.
