Finally some good news after ending a bad relationship with a debt settlement company that did nothing for me. My personal loan with Beneficial is now officially caught up, actually I'm a payment ahead. That is a big relief because I avoided getting sued on this one. I heard back from on credit card and they have considered my account paid in full after the payments they've received over the last three months. They are going to update this on my credit reports. I sent another dispute letter to the lawyer representing my Bedford Fair account because the validation was way off base. I'm still waiting to hear back on that one. Two have already been paid in full since November. That leaves me with one more HSBC account and they are accepting monthly payments from me. I sent a follow up dv request to the CA handling this but I still have not heard back yet. Also, I spoke with the attorney representing our mortgage company today. They agreed that we were current with our mortgage after concluding the forebearance agreement in December. They did not understand why our mortgage company tried to go through the foreclosure process again but they are claiming computer error. Well it's going to be a costly computer error for them and not us. Things are looking up for a change :) I have also filed a complaint with the DIF in Ohio against the mortgage company regarding this last stunt they pulled. Unfortunately, we have to wait another year to refinance to avoid prepayment penalties which could cost us thousands.
