Hi,
I have talked to someone in Superior debt relief. I have about 50k credit card debt. They told me I have to wait for about 4~6 months in order for them to talk to my credit cards company. But I don't want to wait that long .
Do I have any other option ?
I have heard that some people are using Forgetadebt.com
Do they talk to the credit card company immediately after you join their program ? Or, same as SDR, wait
for 4~6 months period ? Do they repair your credit scores after you completed their program ?
I tried to call them up but nobody answer.
Anyone join this company program & happy with their program ?

Please advise !
thank you very much!!!!!!

The accounts in the settlement program need to be in default for a certain period of time so that negotiations are expected to deliver better results. The creditors will realize better that you are in no position to pay the debts and hence, would like to go for a settlement.

If your accounts remain current in this program, settlement is not the option for you, because it's assumed that you are not having any financial difficulty, whatsoever. In such case, you need to pick some other debt management program, may be a consolidation plan. Here, the accounts are brought current and you pay the principal amount at lower interest rates. Most of the fees are also waived off from the total debt. You have to decide the suitable program and re-arrange the payment plan.

I have no idea to be honest. I'm not sure, though, that anybody can "repair" your credit. They can attempt to dispute some information, but that is about it. 100 cycles of credit repair does not mean your credit is in good standing, but maybe they offer something to help it along.

Credit repair is something that you can do on your own. When the defaulted accounts are shown as "paid" in your report, it's automatically raising your scores. You need to check for any incorrect items in your copy and dispute them, because they also lower the scores. If you have to pay someone for credit repair, think again. This is something you can manage on your own.
