Has anyone ever ordered bank checks from other companies besides your bank? Just wonder if these companies are legit. I was looking at an advertisement for Bradford Exchange and they had some checks that I like. I'm very cautious with giving out banking info since I've been dealing with the pdls.

I order all my checks from vendors other than the bank, do a search online, they have alot of promotions going on, alot of competition out there and they tend to try and keep up with each other. I have used classic and artistic. Just google check printers and they all will come up. Just make sure they have the verisign insignia on their page for security of your banking information.

I recommend doing it. Beleive it or not some of the check printing companies are owned by the same company that owns chexsystems. This means that if you order checks from them, and they see that you are on chexsystems, they can call the bank and let them knwo what a terrible customer you are. It's totally wrong but has happened to people.

Yes, they still print the checks. But they also inform the bank of the customer's past. It's a sales tool. They can call up the bank, say that such and such customer owes XY bank $1000, and hey, wouldn't you like to know this before you open the account?

The consumer ends up with paying for the checks, but they can't use them because the account has been closed.

I know that Clarke American is not affiliated with any of them. I will do some checking and find out which companies are safe for people on chexsystems and which ones are risky.
