Cashnet USA
The only thing I can tell you about Cashnet is that they are one of the very few Internet PDL that do abide by the state that you reside in. I had a loan with them and defaulted and phone them and they accepted my payment arrangements. I owed 192 and payed them about 50 a month til it was paid off and they did not give me TOOO much grief about it :)

They did give me a payment arrangement, but it is much higher than I can afford right now, If I had a few more weeks it would be no problem, I was just wondering how long I could keep them at bay?

I found that as long as I sent them something at the time I said I would they generally stayed off my back. They maybe called once or twice during that time but I guess they figured as long as they were getting some money it was better than nothing...

So they stay off your back even if you don't send them the amount of the payment arrangement? I could handle that.

I have dealt with Cashnetusa. They also told me I could only pay either the whole amount, break it in half or break it in 3 payments. I argued with them that there was no way I could afford that. She said the interest would keep accumulating until I paid on it. I told her my hands were tied. When she saw I was serious, that there was no way I could pay right then, she said she couldn't tell me it was okay to pay a lesser amount, but if I did, they would post it and it would stall any collection activity. She said I would still get the phone calls until it was paid off but just to tell the others that called the same thing I told her. I took about 4 months to pay them off (after not paying anything for the first 2 months). Good luck.

great, I will have enough by then to pay them in full. I will just send what I can afford then. Did they charge you crazy intrest? Did it stay with in an amount you could afford to pay? I don't want them adding that fee for $187 every month that they don't get their full payment. How did that work?

I'm sorry, but where in the hell does that $187 fee come in to play? That is outrageous.

Well, I borrowed $650, that is the fee for that amount. That is the crap that they are getting away with going under nevada law for pennsylvania residence. That is what they were taking from my checking every payday and the loan was not going down, now that it is in default, that has stopped. I borrowed $650 and the amount that I owe them now is $813.12. Oops the amount for fees is $162.50 not $187.50. Any way they take out the $162.50 and mark your status on their webpage as paid in full, so in reality it isn't, you have paid the $162.50 not the $650 +$162.50. Balance never goes down it just shows that you paid it off each payday on their screenshot of your account. They are actually rolling it over.

That sucks. Have you filed complaints with PA. I know they are illegal there but if the pdl is licensed in the state they loan they can get away with it in PA it seems.

Well I live in OH so there is not rollover so I don't accrue new fees. I only borrowed 150 from them and all I had to pay back was 192. But since they are one company that does things legally-I would definately make them a priority to pay them before the rest of them.

It is really goofy britney, the pdls are prohibited in Pa, so they say that Pa forces them to go under Nevada law. So I guess if you can't do it in one state you just put them under another. This is crappy.

It is the result of a loophole in PA law. PA law prevents them from operating inside the state, but would appear to consider an internet transaction to be something outside of the state's borders. So, the interpretation they've given "forced to go by NV law" is not inaccurate (doesn't make it right, just legal).
This will not likely be fixed by a judge, but by legislation. The citizens of PA will have to make their voice loud and clear, as the "lenders" have a lot of money to spend (and stand to make far more) on behalf of their interests.

I plan on taking care of this one, guess I should make it priority, I am so close on paying off two others below $300 each. Hate to have them lingering around, drives me nuts. Just a few more pay checks and I should be in the clear.

Hi fedupinpa. I was away for awhile. They just charged the amount I borrowed plus the original amount that I owed in interest. Even though they said the interest would add up, they only made me pay the original interest amount.

I live in OH also, and I borrowed $150 from CashnetUSA, and I was only required to pay back $172.50. Why was your's $192?
