Ok, guys
The forum will need a bit more information to help you out. Could you answer a few questions. What state are you from? Who are your loans with? Are they internet based loans or storefronts.
A little later you will need to know
How much your original loan was for?
How much have you paid?
Once you get your state law, you will be able calculate what you were supposed to pay, if you should get a refund, etc, etc.
But the forum will need more information to help you, some one is always helping some here. So post the information needed and someone will be along shortly.

Mine are all internet and i have discovered that most of the business they are doing is illegal but the OH laws have me a bit confused
GFSIL Loan 250 I have paid over 600
United Cash Loans 250-I have paid 525
OneClickcash 250-I have paid 525
Borrowcashnow 250 I have paid over 675
VC Funding 250 I have paid over 500

It looks like you have already paid the interests and fees along with the loan principal. Call the loan companies and recite the laws in your state. Tell them that you are going to speak to your bank about blocking any of their transactions and insist for a PIF letter. Your account must be marked closed and they should send it in writing. If this is not working, involve the AG of your state for investigating after filing your complaints.
You may also wanted to put all these requests in writing. You
You may also wanted to put all these requests in writing.
You will need to send each of them a revocation of voluntary wage assignment so they leave your paycheck alone.
You will want to send each of them a revocation of ach, so they don't dip into your bank account anymore.
you will want to get the paid in full letters from them in writing.
They may give you a bunch of crap but don't back down. they got enough money off of you.
I had a loan with GSFIL, paid it off, they keep calling me wanting me to borrow more money, I can't understand half of them and from reading all the horror stories, they can keep their money, don't need the headache! goodluck
You can get sample letters from my website at http://thehub.yesdebtfree.org Please read the template tip page first, it will guide you on doing all the letters.

These loans should be considered paid in full. I'm in Ohio too and rollovers are not allowed. What part of the law has you confused?

Sadly, the basic math. I think I did it right but math is not my strong suit. And when I finally do my calls to them and tell them the laws and what I have paid I want to be correct....I am terrified of going to jail. I know, you guys say I wont and I believe you but they sure threaten it!
If you have been threatened by any of these companies with crimi
If you have been threatened by any of these companies with criminal prosecution, you need to file a separate complaint for each of them with the Ohio Attorney General's office. I received the same calls threatening to have officers sent to my place of employment and my home. THEY CANNOT DO THIS, NOR CAN THEY THREATEN IT. The Ohio AG's office handled both of my complaints with positive outcomes. In most cases, under Ohio laws, you are due a refund of any overpaid amount. However, a PIF letter is also an acceptable solution when you are just looking to stop the madness. Because of the help I received through the AG's office, I received a refund from one company and a PIF from another.

Thank you fedup-I did and I believe that these should all be paid in full as they were only 250 loans and the max I should have paid on them was about 400 and I have paid over that on each one. As for a refund, I don't want one I just want them to go away! Thanks for all your help!

If I am reading this correctly under legal status it states check cashers only so does that mean I am only liable for the principle amounts of the loans since these were all internet pdls? Ah either way they should be marked paid in full so I don't know why I am still stressing. Must be pregnancy hormones

Any time Leah, You just keep hanging out here, cause a lot of folks from OHIO are gonna need your help. Seems more and more are coming on from Ohio. You will be further ahead in the process and can help them out right from the beginning by easing their minds. You have been there, experience is always the best teacher and lessons learned this way are always worth passing on provided the student is willing to listen. Goodluck Leah!
