Consolidation impacts on immigration

I have 35,000 in debt in CC, line of credit, and equipment. Considering consolidation but am worried about impact on my immigration to the US from Canada in 2 months. Is there anything I should be worried about (impact on my immigration process etc.. )

Now there is a very complicated question. The very little I know about their process is they want to see someone who can support himself or sponsor supports. I don't think consolidation would be a negative impact because you are committing youself to being responsible for your obligations. Although I think you need to ask an immigration attorney these questions.
