So they're not calling work anymore, but are now calling my cell to give me the old Bass and Associates line that I better payup by 11 a.m. tomorrow or else they're treating it as a bad check!!!!!
Sigh...Does being downloaded hurt?

Amen!! And did I say Amen??
They just called me AGAIN!!!! Now mind you, I have paid two of my five PDL's that I have through Langhorne and we have been trying to settle with them too, but all they want are ACH debits in my account!! No, no and NO!!!!!!!
I am anxious and willing to settle, but I am not going to give them a free pass into my checking account. At this point, I want to file harassment charges against them and have emailed Langhorne about it.

I wouldn't let Langhorne make the decision for me whether I can file a complaint with the AG's office or not. And I read in another post that his company is telling another consumer that he likes to wait and do a "group settlement" with these companies. what is that? I have never heard of a settlement company holding off on a settlement on behalf of a consumer because they are waiting for others.

I have sent Dennis W a long email about this tonight and if they don't do something about it, I will!! At this point, I am willing to pay back my principal to them at legal interest, but not a dime more. And I'm so mad at them right now that if I get settlements on my other two PDL's, I'll pay them off first before I pay them!!

I agree with Steelers. I would beware of any company that did not want me to file a complaint with the Attorney General. Who knows the law better in your state than the Attorney General? KYSIDE38

You need to file with the AG in CAl.. and the Dept of Corps.. They actually have a dept that is dealing with ONLY illegal Payday Loan Companys.. mostly Internet because we know MOST storefronts are just this side of the line...
But file with the DOC and follow up after 3 weeks and get the agent name assigned to your case and keep calling.. DOnt give up...

hi,
i just received a call from ameriloan again today and the guy was quite nasty. i told him that my att. general advised me not to speak and i told him to have a nice day and hung up the phone. i hope that won't get me into any kind of trouble. i was to say things, but im scared that they are recording me and that they will use it against me

Shawty, You did the right thing. Do as your Attorney General says. I think many of us do not grasp what Attorney General means. They are lawyers and many many of them that know what they are doing in those offices. My state is definately proof of that. Best Wishes KYSIDE38
