Cassie has been moved to rehad and if things keep going the way they are, she will be able to go home within the next 7 to 10 days. She is one very tough girl! Thank you for all your prayers and thoughtfulness. I truly believe it was prayers and support that brought her through all of this.

tammy i'm very happy for cassie and i continued to
pray for her because always i go to remember her.
i never met her but is like i know this girl and i wish the best for her.

Forgive me for being out of the loop, Tammy. What happened with Cassie? Is it waht I think it is? What we talked about a few months ago? I am glad to hear of her recovery!

Ari, she was it head on by a drunk driver. Due to the outpouring of prayers and support, she has beat all the odds. SHe is doing wonderful in therapy. Yesterday, she went to rehab all by herself with no assistance from anyone, only her walker.

The power of prayer is wonderful!! :)

Oh, me too! I can't remember all the circumstances with this guy, would have to go back and reread the news article, but here this guy is driving with another driver's license with another name on it and that makes me mad. This guy is here illegally and he is able to change names and get a new license. I feel it should have been taken care of a long time ago. I know here in NC, we have a bad problem with that. A guy I know got a DUI, went to court and only lost his license for 90 days and had to pay a fine! This guy is a friend, but the fact of the matter was he was drunker than a skunk and that is all he got. He is trying to get a temp license to drive to and from work now. So he looses his license, he still gets to drive. I don't know....just really upsets me. The times my husband and I have gone out, if one drinks anything the other doesn't. (Although could not tell you the last time we went out!) Sorry, but I just get fired up over this. Lost a god-daughter and I think that it could have been one of my kids and I try to hard to stress the dangers of drinking and drugs to my kids and I worry about my son because he will be leaving the nest soon. Too frightening. I am happy that this young lady, Cassie, has made it! Too many don't.
