So after dealing with my husbands credit report..I pulled mine. I'm in good standing...but what I noticed was that Capital one has been running my credit report 2x per month since like 2005. I don't even have credit with them and never did. Is that crazy or what. Doesn't this hurt my credit score when they do that?

Call Capital One and verify whether they have any legitimate reasons to put inquiries in your credit. Incorrect inquiries must be disputed and removed from your report. They will hurt your credit potential. If you had credit from them, then your scores would have been hurt because of their inquiries.

If these are prm inqs they do not factor into fico.If you have never had a account with them, then I would go to each credit bureau and opt-out.I have a 7 year opt-out in mine. The only downside is if you want to apply for credit card, you would have to call them or go online since you wouldn't receive offers anymore.
