Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me. My husband and I got into some trouble with some paydays. I have close the bank account they were taking the money out of. I have over paid on three of them but three of them we did not. Now I have one company calling my husband at work. He is not suppose to have calls at work. He keeps telling the guy at but it doesn't care. He also keeps threating us that they are going to turn us over to our county district court and put criminal charges against us. I know they can not do that. We live in Michigan and none of the internet payday loan companies are licensed in Michigan. Here are the companies and what we have paid.

United Loans - $300 and paid $90
Emerald - $300 and paid $90
PD6 Loan Shop - $300 and paid $90.

PD6 is the comapny that keeps calling us.

What should I do? Should I contact them and make arrangements?

Please Help!!!!!!!

You should contact them and try to make arrangements. Legally, only each loan you owe $342 total. They cannot rollover, unless they don't charge you any extra for it. You still owe $252 on each loan, so figure out how much you can realistically pay each month on them, and write them letters stating this.

Please, write it yourself . . . . It looks so much better when you write it in your own words.

The template letters you will find links to on this site aren't something I would recommend using. First, the info included may not be the info pertinent to your state, and second, most pdl's have received many copies of these letters. They know it's a template letter, and will react accordingly.

If you want some help with what to write, just post a rough draft or the points you want to make and people here will respond with their comments. You can then add things or make changes and go from there.

One more thing, file your complaints with the attorney general of your state about these companies that are doing illegal business and making threatening calls to you. You should not let them go unreported otherwise they will continue with their scare tactics on many others. First pay the amount that you legally owe and get the PIF letter. Be an informed consumer aware of your legal rights.
