OK, so I have gotten myself into a huge mess. I need help, I want out of debt so bad. I took out several pdl's and do not even know who they are with, most of them anyways. As I get phone calls now, I am going to take down all of the information and try to get these squared away. From what I can figure out I have loans from:

Quik Cash, I don't know if it is internet or Store front...

Urgent Cash Advance, I think that they are licensed in WA state where I live, but I sent a DV letter, because I can't figure out exactly what the loan amount and the amounts that I have paid are.

People from a place called ICS, they had very hard to understand accents, used to call me stating I owed them money, I wired them about $200, because they threatened to put me in jail, and left a message on my voicemail, after that I called the Attorney Generals office and they told me that they couldn't do that, and when I brought that to their attention they stopped calling.

Geneva Roth, tried to take $400 from my new checking account, I had a $300 loan which they say that I owe $800 on and I filed a complaint with the AG's office and told them not to call me at work anymore and verbally asked for a debt validation, but still 3 weeks later I have not received it. But they haven't called again.

I am just so confused about what to do, I think I have about 6 other loans, but do not even know how to begin handling them. When I spoke with an attorney for the Dept of Finacial Institutions, she told me not to worry about paying back the companies that are not licensed in WA state, that they took that risk when they lent money to someone in a state that they were not authorized to do business in.

Anyways just wanted to say hi, since I have been lurking on these boards the last few weeks, getting up the courage to say something. Just looking for some support from people that will not turn their nose up at me and my terrible financial decisions...

Congratulations on taking the first step. It will get easier once you see some progress. No one here would turn their nose up at you because we've all been in similar situations, for different reasons. You had a reason for having to take out these loans, and now you are attempting to get them taken care of. That's a big first step. The best of luck to you. Let us know what we can do to help.

If you are dealing with any storefronts WA state requires that after the 4 renewal they must allow you to set up payment arrangements and convert it in to a small loan.

I would suggest closing the bank account these pdl's have access to. They won't always stop debiting just because you tell them they no longer have authorization. Stop payments and such don't always work either because most pdl's have many names, and can also print up a paper check and send that through.

I have already closed my bank account, and have a new one set up. Some of the people calling me are so mean, I know that it is just a tactic of theirs, but they act like the attorney generals office is wrong. I filed a complaint against one of the companies with the AG, because they said they were the fraud department. Anyways, thanks for the support and listening...
