Cajun, I( have warned about this company in previous posts. it makes me sick. They are legal because they have a bank backing them like a storefront. I will keep you posted on what goes on here with them. Payday loans are ILLEGAL in my state period. dont think they are not being wqatched for advertising on TV stations here. KYSIDE38

 I will be honest, have absolute zero experience with this type of credit.Thought about it a few times but after calculating apr on a storefront,I was like forget about it!!! I can take a default rate on my chase card of 34%,mind you and still come out better! These damn companies need to be BANNED!They are destroying people!Congress is now holding hearings on credit cards and them companies are getting mighty squirelly right now! I ask all of you to combine your energies and flood your congressman or woman with letters of what they have done.If they get enough, even a idiot would have to take a look at it!Alright getting off soapbox for now!I read so many horror stories on this board that collectors and pdls are lower than an ant turd in my personal regard of them presently.

I have seen commercials for them regarding them on television in my hometown. What exactly are they? I know that they are pdl but how do they work?

I don't know why they are allowing these individuals to even advertise their services. I know that there are some people who need emergency money but they are horrible toward people and I wouldn't want innocent average Joe or Jane getting involved with them.

I wouldn't call them a PDL, they make larger with a set, albeit absurd interest rates...96% and up for a $1,075 loan. You can check out their website. Pick a state, and they'll tell you:

Loan Amount
Interest Rate (fluctuates based upon loan amount)
apr
Total number of payments
Payment Amount

Site also states that they are backed by (and it depends on the state you live in):

CashCall
First Bank of Delaware
First Bank & Trust, Milbank, South Dakota

Alexandra - this company is a payday lender masquerading as a legal lender backed by a bank. That's all they are, basically. They are legal and have bank backing, so that's how they get away with what they are doing. They will loan the money to you, then keep you in debt for years with the interest rate they charge. There are other posts on here about them - and none of them good.

I was thinking about these loans . . . On would almost be better off allowing the loan to default, have cashcall take you to court and get a judgement. The interest rate is set for judgements, so you'd be paying substantially less then if you paid every month. Of course, this would look very bad on your credit report, and I wouldn't suggest anyone do this. But it's very sad when a person would be better off financially having a judgement against them instead of paying every month.

I believe that there's no way to completely outlaw payday loans, but the new wave is lower interest cash loans like website deleted

Ray - I deleted the name of the website out of your post....and here's why: we are a community dedicated to assisting people who are in the payday lending trap, and are losing large portions, or their entire paycheck every week paying payday lenders their "rollover" fees, or paying off one payday loan with another. It's an endless, vicious cycle, and those of us who have escaped it never intend to go back.

Please don't post veiled advertisements for payday lenders here. It is not welcome.

Find a job that pays more or be more responsible with your money so you don't have to borrow at high rates.

Hi guest...Thanks for the advice, but I think everyone here knows that they have made some mistakes without you telling them...Please be a little nicer.

Also, if you would take the time to look at some of the threads, you will see that some have had to resort to high interest loans because of circumstances beyond their control...(sickness, etc.)

I think that highrates, poor credit obviously has never gotten sick or lost their job or had any other unfortunate things happen to them. Maybe he/she should keep their comments to themselves and read all of the numerous posts of everyone's individual circumstances before judgment is passed.
