Would you please answer to my email address () or tell me how to PM since I seem to have difficulty returning to the same thread... there are SO many!

I'am hitting a brick wall on this one Do I accept offer or reject and take my chances with the SC Law a CA and court?..

My wife has paid 1012.78 on a $300.00 loan whichj MPDL claims is now a balance of $325.00. They are offering a One Time settlement of $162.50. If I reject the offer they claim current amount due of $406.25.

I will post both communications below but they are lengthy. Bottom line do I accept the offer or stick to the letter I wrote.

I'd stick to your guns. One thing though, fdcpa only applies to third party collectors, not the original creditor.

They aren't going to take you to court. Have you involved you attorney general yet? They may have some advice on how best to proceed.

To PM someone, go to a post they made and if they allow PM's you will see a button at the bottom of thier post. Click on that and it will take you to a place where you can enter you message.

It may be a good idea to remove your email address for your own safety. It's not a good idea to post personal information on public sites like this.

Another thing about the DCC website...use the "My Threads" link to list every thread you've posted to. This will make it very easy for you right now, as you currently have only posted twice since registering.

I would file a complaint with the AG regardless of the response from the company. It's not fair what happened to you, it's not fair what happened to other people, and it's not fair what will happen to others, either.
