I Have Had It

That is so wrong. I thought that technically they couldn't do that! To so blatantly chase after cases makes them look so bad. I bet if you ever actually need a lawyer you will remember those that have called and make sure you call someone else!

These are attorneys not even in our area either.

I know what you mean Mishele - I have a friend who is an attorney with a nice firm and ne of the partners caught one of the young attorney's on the phone doing a sales call regarding someones accident - he was immediately fired! The partner told him that the reputation of the law firm brought clients to them not cold calls. Big nono. Most of the god firms don't need business that badly. As to the chiropractors - they are a whole different species. But I think it is on the same principle as the lawyers, and I think that some of them work together looking for clients.

I was in an auto accident a couple of years ago where I was injured. Some guy slammed into my car at a read light. No one came chasing after me. I remember the guy didn't want me to call the cops though. Thank goodness he had insurance :-) I have a really great chiropractor and I can't imagine him hunting people down this way.

Welcome to disclosure. His accident is public record. For that reason, these slimeballs access the public records in attempt to secure your issue.

They only care about the 50% they can get if they win. Until there is true legal reform and protection of our personal information, this will continue.

It's sad because it wasn't even a bad accident. It just did some slight damanage to the bumper on the truck.

Thats crazy. I know when my Mother wa sin a accident years ago noone came chasing for her and shes still waiting for a settlement...the guy had no insurance and that was 7 years ago and their still in court

That's just nuts. I can't believe how far some people will stoop to get business. I actually have great respect for the legal profession, but sometimes I think these types of "lawyers" (term used very loosely) must have gotten their license from the BAR ASSOCIATION OF CRACKER JACK!

The attorneys go to the court house to get all accident reports filed with the names of all parties with contact info. that is how they get your info. I was in an auto accident, similar to your husbands four years ago on the job and I will still ocassionally get those solicitations.

I totally know what you mean! We got tons of calls like that after my husband was hit by another vehicle. I finally started telling them if they called back I would find another ambulance chaser to sue them for harassment.

We are still getting the calls but I'm starting to have a little fun with it :-)
