CHLD/CBSD

I'm not sure about the CHLD, but the CBSD stands for Citibank.

Try this phone number 1-866-875-5488 and inquire about the account you see in your credit report. It should be removed if it's posted inaccurately.

This company also has shown up on my credit report and I have no clue as to what this is and believe that it is fradulant

I have this same code on my Credit Report and I finally figured out what it stands for.
CHLD/CBSD is a charge card for the Department store The Children's Place....hope this helps!!

CHLD might be a division for citibank. i don't know whether this can be done or not but could'nt you inquire about it with citibank itself? you might just take a chance.

Here is a number I found. This was off the Children's Place website. It is worth a try to call and see if they can give you any information.

Also, CBSD does stand for citibank. Store cards are usually noted in the following manner:

"Name of the store"/CBSD. Which means citibank is the finacial institution behind the store card.

I really appreciate all the above information. The number listed in the very beginning of 1-866-875-5488 is Home Depot and will not help out with Children's Place Credit Cards.

I have the same thing on my credit. Childrens Place gave me this number: 1-800-810-3202 and it seems like they service both Home Depo and Children's Place.

We never applied for a Children's Place card but received a letter in the mail saying our application for credit with them was denied! It also shows up on our credit report as an inquiry with CHLD/CBSD. We tried Citibank's application number and Children's Place but it's late in the evening and both are closed now. Please post if you're having similar issues. I have a feeling there's some serious problem going on here - maybe it has to do with Citi being hacked recently.
