I thought that I could pay these back with no problem, but the interest each payday is eating me up. It has caused me to fall behind on my house and my utilities. I make ok money, but not enough to pay the interest on these loans. Right now I am paying out 950.00 a month just on interest. I can not go on and I can not get a regular loan because I have fallen behind on the house payment. I want to know what I can do. I want to pay them back........but I can not afford all this interest. Please someone help!

Relax and calm down. Read the postings all through this site and you will find hundreds of people who have been in your exact situation. A debt counselor will be calling you and you can discuss consolidating your PDLs with a consolidation company possibly. You could also close your bank account or stop payment on withdrawals from the PDLs, you could contact the PDLs then and make arrangements with them. If you are considering this, you might want to cancel any direct deposits you have connected with this account giving you control of your money again. There are quite a few options out there.

I am the type of person who can't rest until something is taken care of---if it were me, I would do this---first--cancel any direct deposits and arrange to get a "live" check. second---close bank account and open another one immediately. third---ask debt counselor about a consolidaton company. If a consolidation company isn't a possibility, then contact the PDLs and make your own arrangements. DO NOT GIVE PDLs ANY NEW BANK INFORMATION!!! Again, these are just my thoughts---your decision will be based on you and your situation.

Thank you for responding....I will start this process in the morning......I have been so upset over this that it is now affecting my health....I have to get this under control soon. I will stop the direct deposit first thing in the morning and go to the bank at noon.

See-----already you are regaining control of your money. Be sure to talk with the debt counselor that will be calling you soon. Do not let this ruin your health. It is not worth it AT ALL!!!

Also, when and if the PDLs start calling you, do not let them intimidate you and tell you stuff like you could be arrested ( YOU CAN'T) and can go to jail (YOU CAN'T). Don't listen to them and do not accept any calls at work from them and under no circumstances give ANY of them your new bank account information! Good luck and keep posting with any questions or concerns as you move through the process.

Desperate,

Make sure that the lenders have done the charges on your loan as per the laws in your state. Most IPDL companies are famous for adding illegal rates and fees. Go through the fine prints carefully and if you find anything incorrect, fill up the dispute/argument form with the company and get it corrected.
