All creditors want to get their money back. Re-negotiate with your proposal if they sound tough in the beginning. At the end, most are willing to work on the terms set by you.

hey guys thanks for the replys i am currentely 12,000 in debt with credit cards . i am up to date with my payments i have been borrowing money from my sisterto pay the minimunm payments. i am getting a job in the near future but the pay is no were near what i was getting before. so i need some advice should i try negotiating with the crediters mysels ,or hire someone else to do that for me or file a ch 13, i already filed a ch7 in 2002. pl help guys any suggestions would be appreciated thank you

I don't know how much this will help but hopefully it does. I am very much in debt with payday loans, as you used your sister to get caught up, I just kept taking more payday loans, eventually my whole paycheck was going to interest on those loans only. I called T&C, Town and Country Acceptance LLC (advice from the awesome people on this site) and they helped me out tremendously. My debt was only 3000, but I have a payment plan set up to only pay 150/ month which is very affordable. I am sure they work with credit cards as well so if you would like their number let me know and I'll send it to you. So far they have been a huge help for me, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel! Keep your head up, we'll all help you get out of this!
