O.k. I just received all the paperwork to start working with Town and Country. I would love to hear success or horror stories before I sign the dotted line.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do a search on T&C at the box above. You will find all the discussions on the company. Some were complaining about their customer care services but I heard that they have now improved a lot. If there is any doubt on anything mentioned in the contract, make sure that you clarify it before putting your signature. Once you sign, you are bound to follow the terms and conditions mentioned by the company.

They have been extremely polite and considerate every time I have spoken with them. One time they sent a payment to one of my other creditors instead of the one whom I requested it be sent to. But, other than that, they have been very good. Make sure you get them to keep you updated on who has accepted their proposals regarding your repayments. Sometimes they will tell a customer it will be xx dollars per month for this company and then the company might give them a counter proposal a few dollars higher and they can't always let the customer know in time.

I have been with Town and Country since September when I came to this message board and it saved my life.

At first, it was hard to get in contact with them sometimes having to wait more than 20 minutes for a human being. But then I started sending them faxes. These days, it has gotten much much better. They are paying my creditors each month and I am almost done with two of them. I am very pleased with my outcome in the matter and so are my creditors because I have not heard anything from my creditors negative about them sending the payments.

So they are a good company in my opinion.

vstone, you will have to contact T&C if they are working with you regarding your debt and ask them how long it takes for them to begin making payments. And if you are indeed using T&C and the creditors are calling you, by all means, give them T&C's name and telephone number and have them contact them. That is why you are paying them. So that you don't have to deal with these people. But you need to ask T&C themselves when they are going to start the payment process. Good luck with everything! :D
