Oh my god!
Date: Fri, 03/16/2007 - 16:38
All because of mistakes I made YEARS ago.
I went through a divorce in 2001.
We have one child together.
Between the divorce, a low paying job and raising a child - I accrude quite the serious debt.
I have since paid off all of my debt, but my credit score is still too low for me to get a loan to consolidate my current debt.
And, it keeps going.
Livign in a house, I have fence repairs, plumbing issues, etc.
I feel like I am about to lose my friggin mind.
Sincerely,
JMM

Do not stress over your situation. Yes, I know it is easier said than done, but we all speak from experience on here.
When the debt counselor contacts you, an option you can ask about is maybe going with a debt consolidation company. You could pay a smaller amount on your debts each month and that way you wouldn't have to try and get a loan.

We have different issues ourselves. Many of us were good people who happen to fall in an unfortunate circumstances with debt. We have all been there. Don't beat yourself up. Just calm down and relax and try to sit down and write out what debts you have and how much income you have to pay the debt. Then see if you are interested in debt consolidation or working out a payment plan with each of your creditors to get the debts paid.
Like I said, we have all made mistakes and had issues. But there is a way out of no way.

Exactly right Alexandra---and there is always a way out of a bad or unfavorable situation. Don't let your situation become so desperate that you think you see no way out. When you get here (like you have) you have found your way out.
