First off---please don't type in all caps, I realize you are upset, but it makes it very difficult to read. Are you asking a question? This is a community message board forum where we discuss debt/credit issues. Did you mean to post here? I only ask cause you post seems like it is about cable service.

I have Dish, and right now, my 2 downstairs connections will not get local channels, they did in the beginning but not now. But the 2 tv's upstairs get local channels. Dish told me I would be charged for the service call. I do NOT thinks so. I'll just go upstairs when I want to watch the local networks.

I have had both - directv satellite dish and cable. I liked the directv, but whenever there was even a slight thunderstorm or heavy cloud cover, we'd lose our signal until it passed. Some nights, that meant no tv all night, especially in hurricane season.

I have cable now, and I've had the digital cable for 6 months, which I can't use. Their box is defective, and this is the 2nd box I've had installed with the same problem. I finally told them to take their stinking box back and just switch me to regular cable service, not digital. Their customer service is finally starting to get a little better - for a long time, if you called, you got a call center in India, where they followed a script on how to solve your problems, but couldn't really do much. If you got outside their script, they were unable to help. The local cable office doesn't list their number in the phone book, either - just the 800 number, which gets you to the foreign country call center.

I guess cable is the lesser of two evils right now. At least I have a constant signal from that, no interruptions due to weather.
