Statute of Limitations in Florida
Date: Wed, 03/21/2007 - 17:40
Can anyone advise me where I can find the actual statute that tells me about the Statute of Limitations in the state of Florida? My fiance had a vehicle repossessed in 2002 and we just discovered where they have filed to get a judgement. They haven't served him yet, but from everything that I have read they only have a few more months to do that. So I would like to know the laws before this happens.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! :D

SOL on contract or written instrument and for mortgage foreclosu
SOL on contract or written instrument and for mortgage foreclosure is 5 years. Almost all other debts fall under the 4-year catch-all limitations period. Is the car auctioned? If you have a balance left, it will be an unsecured debt and the SOL will be calculated four years from the last payment date. Please double check this info before you act further
