what if they refuse my payment
I am no expert, just someone like you who has had debt problems, first off what state do you live in? Make sure you know the interest allowed for your state. You may find that you have been charged in excess of your states legal allowable interest charged. If you have done all your searches and you still owe that money, 1800.00 and they refused to take a settlement, I closed out my account that they had accress to, sent payments with that same letter of compromise each time I sent a payment. Believe me they will take your money. Please remember to keep a record of everything you mail. Send your payments with return receipt. With the last payment try to contact them via phone. Verify with someone in collections that you have indeed made the good faith payments. Chances are mosre than likely you will be told that though you di not pay in full per their records you did make payments. Your credit report will show a write off for these but you should be harassed anymore.
