The Cajun needs a break!

Cajun-
Not all of us feel that way! I truely apreciate all the advice you have give to me either directly through one of my threads or through another thread that I have read and I do not think that you have abused any power or displayed a holier than thou attitude....

I agree with Leah, you have helped me a lot since I started here almost two weeks ago. I really appreciate everything that you do. Even if you aren't experiencing what we are personally, you do the best you can to be there for us and not point fingers, you stand by our side and cheer everyone on. That shows a lot about you. I think taking a break is a good idea though, you have no reason to get stressed out because of things that have been said on this board. Go enjoy a few days to yourself, and with your family. Think about all the lives you have touched by helping those who come to the board looking for answers. Enjoy your vacation, you will be missed! :)

And I am in total agreement with Leah. Unfortunately, some people let egos get the best of them, and forget what this board is really about: helping people deal with debts, BK, collectors, etc...You are a great resource for this board.

Like I said on your HOF thread, we love you and don't want you to go anywhere. Honey, I'm a fat woman on a diet, so I'm grouchy OK?? Cuz if you do leave, like I said before, we're going to have to swim out to that oil rig and drag you back to the boards!! (Just kidding about that one, but you know what I mean :lol: )

You can take a break, but get your buns back here, we need you. I know that it takes alot to do the research and come back on try to get that advice to the people who need it. You do a great job, You sure have helped me out and I appreciate it. So you go ahead and take your break and then get your buns back here. You ole rajun cajun!

Make sure you come back. And if anyone does not like what you have to say, well, I won't say it because it would only add to the negative.

Cajun, you give good advice. If someone is trying to run you off, stick around, maybe they will leave. And if they don't, who cares. Your direct way of dealing with things is very much needed by those coming here.

As one "holier than thou" mod to another...please come back when you feel better about things. I've been accused of the same things, cajun - being holier than thou, being on a high horse, etc. All by unidentified guests who hide behind their anonymity. I've taken short breaks and come back, and I'm sure it will happen again in the future.

I think you're a good resource for folks here, and have provided much help. We need you here.

Personally I dont feel that anyone should be able to post without registering first. Allowing trolls to post with some registration just encourages more trolls to tromp in.

Cajun, don't let them run you off. You have truly been an asset to this forum. Its people like you that help the ones that are serious about getting advise and help.

Ok Cajun - you should have posted more on my pity party! Don't go - who will I have to joke around with? Take a few days and whe you feel better come straight home!

I do not believe that you have a "holier than thou" attitude. I think as mods, we get accused of that. I can understand taking a break though. Last week was great for me. I have studying to do today so I won't be on here long. You have really helped me in the debt collection forums. I've learned a lot from you :-) Irish, I'll joke around with you!

I personally think you are a wonderful part of this community and you shouldnt let people get you down...I havent heard anything negative about you personally. Don't go away........They win then....WE NEED YOU!

I just want to say that cajun has really helped me out since I started coming here. I have appreciated his wisdom in assisting me with my problems. I hope he enjoys his break and comes back soon.

I am back for now.I was letting the board get to me and was getting a bit steamed at some of the poster's charges leveled at me personaly. Like I said in this post,I truely have no experience in bad debt situations and came here just to help. I do know the laws quite well and I am a demon at research. I will try to get off my butt and grow some thicker skin. I left because I was starting to lose sleep and when I only average about 6 a night,that gets old mighty quick. I appreciate all your support and the support of the admins of the board.

Cajun, I'm glad to see you're back! Everyone needs to take a break now and then. I will basically only be posting on weekends because my work has been suffering (this place is addictive!), but I had to come back and check on you! You are truly an asset to this forum and contribute so much. It would be a shame to let those few people who come on here who probably have never really taken the time to see the things you post and to appreciate what you do, discourage you. We are here as a group to build each other up, new and old members alike, as well as welcoming guests who do want our help. You have been doing all that. For the few who don't want our help and only come to point fingers, I saw forget them. Welcome back, Kotter - oh, Cajun, I mean!

Yeah Cajun is back because all s/he needed was some pats on the back from his/her admirers. It's nice to have your friends support when you feel so low, everyone needs a boost to their ego sometimes

Earlier I posted something to cajun telling them not to lose sleep over this and if he was going to lose sleep make it over something serious! Talk about selective postings! Can someone please tell me why it has been selected to NOT be posted? It was not offensive, not attacking. You wonder why people are being turned off by this particular forum? Please just give me a good reason.

Sorry guest...When a non-registered member posts in the Pub section, the post has to be approved by a moderator first. I read this one and let it through. I found nothing offensive or aggressive in it.

It sounds like you're saying you posted something else? This was the only post that was pending...Someone must've gotten there first.

Also..I guess there is no good reason why a post like you described was not allowed in. I'm sorry. If you would like to re-post I will do my best to make sure it makes it through. I agree with you.

"Whats up" - I may be the culprit, and I apologize. In a short span of time, a few very attacking posts were made by guests, and in my haste, I believe I gave the wrong posts to edit to a mod that has rights to this forum.

For that, I apologize. Nothing is meant to stop kind words and honest care. I am just a little saddened how things seem to have turned on the forum, and I am hoping to just stop any negative posts, for they are completely unproductive.

Again - I take the blame, and I am sorry.

I hear you Jeff, it's very easy to go delete crazy when there are 4 pending posts and 3 of them are nasty!

I just want this crap to stop.

It will, as we just stop the attacks before they start and keep the forum on task.

I am ok Mike,Just had to get away from some of the spiteful posts I was working on.

cajun there is always someone who wants to bring others down because the are down but don't let them do that to you i appreciate all the advice you give and i'm sure others do to as long as you know you are helping someone even if it's just one person then you are doing a good job to me and should continue to do what you do. so don't leave stay and continue to help......
