Hi twokidtwocat
Welcome to the forums

Yes, Primetime1.net is a lending company based in New Zealand. The address of Primetime1.net is:

This company gives loan from $5000 to $15000 on the security of your existing assets.
However, if they want cash collateral then please verify it from a responsible company official. Please check loan offer document very carefully.

You said the company is based in New Zealand.I do have the Maryland address on my loan papers that they faxed me,I just wanted to make sure they are legit since I have not been able to verify this address or phone online except on the web site.So are you both saying that this is a real loan company.Do they usually have offices in different states and why would they not have anything about New Zealand on thier website.Sorry so many questions,I have til friday to send money Western union and I am a bit nervous, but this will really help me get back to normal. Its just that I read so many places that if a loan company ask you to send my by western union before you get the loan that its most likely a scam.Have you ever heard of loan companys doing this before.
Thanks so much for everyones help.

Im not sure what or where that is.I can call the Md phone number they gave me(same number on web site),but How do I know that they are really a part of the New Zealand Company.I know they will just tell me what I want to here.Im not sure what questions to ask them. But there doesnt seem to be any one here that has used them before and received a loan.I dont have a problem making a downpayment as long as I know that I will get the loan the next day.I just dont want to lose all the money I have to my name to a scam artist who will take my money and run and leave me with nothing.I just wish someone knew If this company really came through on there loans. The one in Cambridge Maryland or are they just using another company name to scam people. The Western Union thing is whats really making me wonder.
Thanks for everyones patience.

I just had a similar situation with a different company. Thanks to the MoneyGram people, I found out that it was what they call Canandian fraud. They also required a cash down payment and it was a farce. Tell them to take that payment out of the proceeds of the loan. If they will, they are a good company. If not, you ar being scammed. Also, the money had to be sent to an individual who they said was a senoir officer at the place. Be very careful.

I want to thank everyone for their help and advise.Needless to say I will not be taking the loan, but that doesnt help my situation. They only debt consolidation person that emailed me was one called Christian something and they gave me the impression that since the payday loans come directly out of my checking account I might not be able to consolidate them.I have 4 loans with a total of $450 interest each month to renew them (total loans of $2200).So you can see that the loan from primetime would have been a godsend.Im not sure what to do now,but once again thank you for all you help,I dont know if I could have handled losing my whole paycheck to a scam.

Peter - how did you find out where Prime Time Lending is based out of? Outside of there website, I can't find any information on them and I am a HUGE dummy who paid the security deposit and have discovered this forum after-the-fact. If anyone knows of any legitimate bad credit loan place I would be eternally grateful for any info you could send my way. I scraped together what I could get to "secure" my loan with them and now I'm completely screwed.

Thanks,
Christine D.

I knew better than to go with this company and tryed anyway only to find out my monies were being "held" until payment of a brokerage fee was recieved. The operators are not nice and the telephone system is of very poor quality. To make a long story short there were all sorts of signs and now I too am out of $985.25. I have filed a report with the FTC and will contact the BBB to see what they can do if nothing else happens---exposure from the news will at least put a huge halt in there business.
Please keep posting information found about this company.

Contact this company. They are handling my payday loans, and got me a settlement for 50% of what I owed on 2 of them.

Also, call your bank and tell them that you want to put stop payments on the pay day loans. That will keep them from coming out. It will probably cost you money as it would be like putting a stop payment on check, but that should give you some breathing room until you can get in touch with BHR.

The way BHR works is you dont pay anything upfront. They will negotiate with the loan companies, and if they get a settlement that you like, you pay them 35% of what you SAVE. So if you had a $500 pay day loan and they negotiated it down to $250. You owe BHR $87.50. They are great to work with!

Hi vanityice31

Twokidtwocat was earlier looking for a loan from Primetime Lending. But later twokidtwocat felt uncomfortable with the company because of the customers' feedback. As a result, she decided not to go ahead. Make sure that you do your part of research about the company before taking a loan.

I too was scammed by them. I have contacted the FTC and SCC but I lost over $1,500.00. Now I am struggling just to pay the sitter and feed my kids. If I could just find there main office I would personally go there and demand my money back. Let's hope the government catches them and shuts them down.

I did a google search again for primetime and guess what, some of the messages from this site come up.Thats great because anyone thinking about using them will find this site and know they are buying into a scam.I think I may have been the first to post about primetime here hoping I would get good feedback but now the word is out and maybe this company will be brought to justice.

I dont think this is really a loan company,It is a scam and they will put anything they want on the website to get people to apply. They want to keep the scam going so they keep putting people off saying there are problems with loan, refund coming etc.so that they can get as much money as possible since western union cant be traced and the address they give is bogus. They could be picking up the money from a western union anywhere in the world.

I also went on a website that tells you when a website domain was taken and the date for them was June 2005,and no name was listed as a registar. That was my first clue, next I tried to verify the address and came up with 124 cedar rd but no 125 which means this is probably a vacant lot or railroad track. All the signs where there but until I came to this site,I still wanted to believe that they were going to be my saving grace. When you fill like you have no hope, you want very hard to believe the best even went the truth is right before your eyes.

I started to also get a loan from Prime Time. After a little research, I found another site Corpus Mutual Funding, their testimonial page is exactly the same; same names, everything. I have reported them to the FTC, FBI-internet fraud, and the BBB in both states. Prime was out of Maryland, and Corpus was from New Jersey. It is a shame that they can do this to someone, and I am soo sorry for those of you who were taken by them. I vow to one day be rich and help out at least 2-3 people a year get out of debt!

i talked with Larry Johnson this morning about my loan he said "it was sent out and i should get it anytime." remember he said it was sent out. then i asked him about the brokage fee and what that was he put me on hold and them came back and said "oh i just talked to the main office and they are holding the check until you pay the brokage fee." they really are a bunch of jerks. he hung up on me thats what pissed me off. i called back just a minute later and i was told that he was in a meeting. i said already. that was quick i told them "so if i call back in another minute he'll be out to lunch huh?" i keep calling until i get my money back. i know i wont get my money but i'm gonna keep bugging them just to break them.

i took out a loan with this co in MD - they took my money, then called me three days later, two days after my money (loan) was supposed to be placed into my bank account, and informed me they required another $635.00 as a money transfer fee. I do not trust them. They won't take my calls, and they told me a refund would take two weeks. BEWARE!!!!

im suppose to be sending in my down payment soon and i just want to know what happened. i applied to the company and was told that i was approved and my down payment is 1261.00, this includes the first 3 months and an insurance premium due to credit. you stated that never received the money? did they ever pay the money back? im just curious because i need the loan as well. i called them once i got off of the forum and asked about addl. fees, etc. they state that they are not based out of new zealand, they are based out of marylnd and that the only way they attach addl fees is if they find out that there is something false on your application. i don't know, but this is what i was told.

You need to read all the post on this forum, there are quite a few. They are a scam, they will take your money and run. They will tell you everything you want to here, because like you I really wanted to believe that they were for real. After lots of research I now realize that a legit loan company will not ask for money down and can not make you pay insurance. They are just trying to get as much money from you that they can.You will never see the loan,Dont send them any money.

i called western union about my money being sent to a Charles Moore in Onatario and that they are scam artists. they gave me a 1-800 number to file a claim with the canadian investigative section. i advise who ever had their money sent to do the same. the more complaints against Primetime the faster the proper authorities will do something about them. i really hate to see someone else go through this. i sent my whole paycheck on the 10th and now i have nothing to hold me up until next payday. they go by different names like Larry Johnson, Matthew Johnson i believe is the same person. they will put you on hold until the operator comes on to tell you to leave a message. DON'T TRUST THEM or anything they say. they'll lie to you like they did me. they have my checking account number and all my sensitive information. they told me that they will have to mail the check because the computor had a fiberoptic problem. what the heck is a fiberoptic? So see, they will not send you anything. you will not see any money or loan. get the word out through mass email, local news, and or where ever as long as people know about this SCAM.

Hello everybody,

When I first started talking to and sending my money to Prime Time lending, this forum did not exist. I also sent money to a "Matthew Moore" in Canada. I was told that Canada is where the headquarters are. I had a friend of mine call them today, and she was told that the headquarters are in NY; and according to another post on this forum, the were told that the HQ are in Maryland. So obviously they are fraudulent. I too was working with Larry Johnson and sent in over $2000, not including the Western Union fees to wire internationally. When I called the "company" yesterday to see why the loan was not deposited in my account, they told me that I needed to pay another $604.25 in administrative fees. I said that I wanted this in writing, which this particular person was hard-pressed to do. His name was "Michael Johnson", and he informed me that Larry Johnson had been terminated for being inefficient and not letting customers know of all the fees. But I see from a post TODAY on the forum that a "Larry Johnson" does still exist and theoretically still works at the company. Very strange, don't you think? One of the main mortgage lenders who has been working with me called Prime Time to inquire about the additional fees, and he told me that he spoke to a "Mark Johnson", and that "Mark" quoted that it would cost me $750 in administrative fees to release my funds. So within minutes, the company could not keep their stories straight. I called the Attorney General in MD today (Consumer Protection division) and they said that they had received several calls about this company. They asked that I write them about my concerns so that they can begin a formal investigation. Here is their information so that everyone can call and write them: Office of the Attorney General/Consumer Protection Division/ 200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore MD 21202. Their telephone number is 410-230-6097. I also called the Cambridge Police department and the woman who answered was very kind. She said that the police department has received several calls about this company and that there is a detective who is familiar with the case. He was out and about on duty at the time I called, but I will be calling tomorrow to give him all the information I have. I urge everyone to do the same, call and write the Attorney General and call the police department. The phone number for Cambridge police is 410-228-3333. I also left a message for the BBB, and as one of the posters on this forum suggested, we should contact Western Union as well, which I'm about to do. And it is a great idea to contact the media. Here are some e-mail addresses: breakingnews(at)foxnews.com; breakingnews(at)mail.cnn.com, and e-mail your local tv stations as well.

Anyhow, I did call Prime Time yesterday afternoon and requested a refund, both verbally and in writing. A "Tony Simmons" answered and said I would have a refund in one week. We shall see . . . .

By the way, everytime I have faxed documents to them at the 1-800 #, the name "Harry Parker" appears on the screen of the fax machine. It would seem that this is a real name for at least one of the members of the "Johnson" family ring.

When I did a look up on the white pages, there is a "Harry Parker" in Cambridge, MD, but, of course, the name is pretty generic, so who's to know which Harry Parker it really is. I am going to ask the police dept. to trace the 1-800 number.

their area code is most likely an area code provided by those internet fax companies. Thay way all their documents are available in the computer. This is a VERY risky loan company in my opinion. Especially if they do not want to give out their name over the phone when you first call the 800#.
