I lost my job about a month and a half ago and at the same time began having to deal with figuring out how to pay the PDL I'd taken out over Christmas. It's been a nightmare dealing with all of this adding on top to the stress of finding a new job and paying other bills. Bass and Associates almost got my money with their scare tactics but luckily I googled them before I did anything else and came across this great website.

I have a new job now and hope to be on my way to getting out of this whole mess soon. I've learned a very costly lesson on PD Loans and will never be taking one out again, it's just not worth the trouble that it causes in the end.

Glad to know that you got the real picture of Bass and Associates before sending money. They have already pocketed a huge amount of money with their illegal collection tactics.

When they try to scare you, just let them know that you are aware of the laws and know about their illegal activities. They should be following the federal laws in collections and this forces them to validate the debt in the first place. Read the FDCPA for knowing your consumer rights. And, call the pdl company for your payment arrangements. They will be easy to deal with.

I have been trying to resolve this issue for about a year and a half. The problem that I am having is that the remaining three PDL are through this company, and they will not give me any account information so that I can pay what is owed. They have threatened me with legal action, sending someone to come out and arrest me, and have spoken to me very rudely. I ask to speak to a supervisor, and they sent me right in circles all over again. I have reported them to the BBB, and have received paperwork to complete from the AG in Florida. I have never stated that I don't owe them, I just want the information to pay what I owe. How hard is that?
