Payday Avenue calling my employer

From what I understand, wage assignment is voluntary, and you need to agree to it for it to happen. Keep on top of your HR department, and have them log the calls made to them.

Unfortunatly, it's very difficult to get these people to stop calling. They ignore cease and desist letters a lot of the time. What worked for me everytime they called, before they could say anything I would tell them I will only talk through mail, then hung up. Eventually they quit calling. My workplace also told them I no longer worked there. It took one pdl 2 motnhs of calling several times a day and always being told I don't work there to finally stop calling.

Any thoughts on changing your phone number?

That is definitly something to think about. If my phone had not quit ringing, I was going to do that, but so far, no phone calls this week...knock wood! LOL

I also think you need to revoke your voluntary wage assignment. Send them one and do give one to your payroll department.

All this makes you never want to get a loan (even a legitimate one) ever again!!! Up until June 30 2006 - I had no debt whatsoever! My car was paid for...and then the transmission died...so I bought a new (to me) car, ended up with a payment and higher insurance...it all went to garbage from there!

Just have to keep that faith up....sometimes we have to fall down so we can pick ourselves up and get a new start.

I already revoked it. Payday Avenue doesn't care about that. My husband won't let me change the phone number. He thinks that is stupid. As far as the calls to my work go, my voice mail says, "Hi, you've reached the desk of Michelle......" so I couldn't tell them I don't work here anymore!

Sass-also in OH voluntary wage assignments are illegal so they really cant be enforced either way
