Is there a company that will do a debt settlement with only $6000 of debt?

I'm not sure what kind of debt your talking but I have my payday loan debt consolidated, not settled, through a company called T&C. My debt I believe was around 3000 and they still helped me. As far as settling it goes, I had talked to a company a while back called "A New Horizon" and they were going to help me but instead I decided to do it on my own because that was for my credit card debt and I had caught already starting getting back on track. They were very nice and trying to help though so I would look them up on the BBB and see if you read good things about them, if they seem like a good company give them a call, ask them questions, find out what you would owe etc etc. Good luck, hope that helped at least a little!

Other posters have indicated that 5k is as low as they've seen. Sorry I can't be more informative. However, if you gave your phone number when you signed up, you should get a call soon from a credit counselor, and they'll help you explore your options(if you haven't already done so). If you choose any company, check them out and read the contract carefully before you sign. You can use this site, the BBB, FTC, your AG, etc... to research them so you can try to make sure you'd be doing business with a reputable company.

Visit the ranking chart and find different companies working in your area. I know there are some companies that don't require a minimum balance to qualify in the program.

Are your accounts past the due date? Your accounts must have to be in default before the settlement company starts negotiating with your creditors.

Why don't you try it yourself? Call them and make an offer? Make sure you have the money before you call them.
