No hope in an impossible situation

I don't even know where to begin. I am about 33,000 dollars in credit card debt. Payments for consolidation are about 300 dollars a month out of reach (400 if gas keeps going up..). Tried a debt settlement company. All they did was keep taking their fees. Calls from creditors never stopped, and they quit returning my phone calls. Due to an accident, and a huge insurance rate hike, it doesn't really matter, because I can't put money to pay creditors in the account anyway, so I severed ties with them. I can't declare bankruptcy, because my ex wife is listed on the two biggest accounts (about 26,000 dollars worth). If I file bankruptcy, they go after her, and she sues me ( since according to the divorce decree, I am responsible for paying them anyway). A second job is out of the question, since I travel 5 states for the one I have. Have been trying to find a new job, so I can stay in town. But I can't afford the 15-1800 dollars to keep the insurance on the kids and I while I change jobs, and haven't found anyone willing to negotiate that in. So here I sit...waiting for the first wage garnishment. As soon as that happens, I'll join the ranks of the homeless...

Have you met with a Bankruptcy attorney about this situation and if your ex can actually sue you? I would meet with an attorney before you throw in the towel.

Yes, I have. 3 of them, actually. All of them told me it would be a waste of time, because yes, she can sue me.
