Pdl companies are calling because they are trying to get their money back. How much have you paid them so far? If you have not paid them the full balance, it might be hard to stop their calls. You need to keep yourself upfront and work out a payment plan with them. Stick to it and they will stop calling you. But if you have already paid them the full amount along with the legal fees mentioned in your state, report their harassing calls to your state AG. Which company is it?

PDLs are illegal in NC. It is good that you are working with your AG in the matter. I know these have to be internet pdls since pdls are illegal in NC so therefor there would be no storefronts. I would say since you have filed your complaints, stick to your guns, eventually they will give up. Just do not fall for the threats and give them another dime.

Also you need to either block them from your account or just go and open a new bank account to prevent them from taking anymore of your money.
Good call about blocking the company from the bank account, but
Good call about blocking the company from the bank account, but you will be better if you have already paid them the loan in full.
shawty1, can you please put the name of the companies calling you?

You can let them know not to call you at work, that they can call you at home. Does the AG's office know they are harrassing you at work. A phone call from them might do the trick.
Debt Collectors
debt collectors can really be absolute Scum... Their tactics can be ruthless.
You need to send them a Cease and Decist letter, I think it is called, and send it certified mail, and get those scum bags off your back.
Now, that being said, eventually, you will have to deal with them. I would figure out how much you owe them, and get a little money together, and call them up and offer them what you have to get them off your back. You would be surprised at how much it will take to get them off your back. You can probably settle for 35-50% of what you owe, and be done with them.
I have been where you are, and it isn't fun. Just remember, you can get thru this.
