Intrest on loans in missouri after court garnashment??

I want to know in missouri what they can charge you after they put a rock on your check?? We owed 785 plus intrest in the ammount of 1500 total and my husband quit his job we still owed 365.00 now they are saying we owe them 1800 when does it stop?? They garnashed us twice for the same bill with the same court number in the same court for the same amount is that legal?? Anyone that can help please!!!

not sure about other states, but in illinois a judgment creditor
