I wouldn't recommend getting a loan/personal loan to pay off payday loans. You are just creating more debt for yourself. Been there done that. I must say it's not worth it. If you can give us more details about your situation, we will be able to help you more. Are these internet or storefront lenders? What state do you live in? How much you borrowed and how much you've paid back?

This is/was the same position I was in -- taking one loan to pay
This is/was the same position I was in -- taking one loan to pay another loan to pay off another loan. My suggestion:
1) Close your bank account.
2) Try and get your bank or you job to switch your direct deposit of your check to your new account OR request a paper check. Tell your bank that there are unautorized transactions abotu to go through and you want to deal with the companies directly without going into the negative with the bank.
3) Look-up each company to see if they are licensed in your state -- the ones that ARE contact them and work out alternate payment plans in accordance to your state.
4) The other loans companies, well, check to see how much you owe them in accordance to TX payday loan laws and just work it out to pay them just that much using a method that DOES NOT INVOLVE YOUR NEW BANK ACCOUNT.
5) Once you paid the allowable amount according to your state's laws, start asking for those accounts to be marked paid in full (PID) -- this part is going to be your biggest battle! But you can do it!!

The reason #5 is the biggest step is that these companies are going to harrass you at your home, at your work, sending you email messages, and you will need to stand your ground as they charge illegal fees and do not work with you in legal ways.
You will have to file complaints with the Attorney General in your state; file revocation of Garnishements and wage reassignments -- and you will have to keep sending them email after email, FAX after FAX to get them to mark your accounts paid in full.
Following these steps, I've had two companies mark my account as PAID, and I have payment arrangements with two store-front companies in my state. I am still battling with five companies BUT I have my entire paycheck now, and I am not paying illegal roll-over fees.
HANG IN THERE!
YOU CAN DO THIS!
The people here are amazing and will help you along the entire way as they did with me.

If you close your checking account, they will go into default and BMG will be bad news. I have only dealt with BMG and one click from your list. I have a settlement with one click and they settled for less than what the original loan was for (they subtracted some of the fees I already paid) But even though they knew my checking account was closed they still tried to take out of my account 7 different times in 1 month. And because I was overdrawn at the time they couldn't close my account. So I ended up with over $500 in NSF fees. So be careful and talk to your bank before you close your account. They may be able to freeze the ach's. But like I stated before BMG will turn your account over to united pay service or bass & associates. They will threaten you with arrest and other charges. but do not believe it. Do what sarah said, file complaints. Since my state contacted them they have not contacted me. So she told me not to worry about them and don't pay them anything until I hear from her.
I had 10 internet loans and 10 store front loans at one time. I am dealing with this on my own and getting them paid down. It's taking me a bit but one more will go paid in full tomorrow :) So hang in there. You can do it!!
Help please

Here are the Payday loan laws for AZ ... (just select your state),
you can go to your attorney general's web page ..there is usually a link to the dept. of financial institutions or what ever your state calls it...where they have a list of all licensed lenders, etc. If your company is not on the list they are not licensed in AZ.

There is a big difference between internet payday loans or store fronts, licensed or not, and what state you live in.

missthang138: Go to your bank and have them put a freeze on all
missthang138: Go to your bank and have them put a freeze on all debits immediately. Once your account is secure, then you can start dealing with them. I sent my letters July 27th and received a refund and PIF from one pdl 3 days later. Yesterday I received another PIF communication. It takes time but it works. And I have my paycheck back, and I can sleep at night. If you take out a big loan to pay them off, you will be paying their fees along with what you borrowed. If they are illegal, you only need to repay the amount borrowed. So don't take out a loan to pay them off, the fee charged on a big loan will be very very high.
payday loans
I was wondering If you can help me with these payday loans. Thank You.
