I had a loan through Money World Lending. They rolled it over more than three times, and they are not licensed in Oregon. When my account was closed, and I defaulted on the loan I had already paid 450.00. I was getting phone calls at work, and would be in tears by the time I hung up. One day I got one from a Cindy Parker with Processing, She told me she was doing an investigation with the FBI, and that I had admitted to fraud. I tried to call back several times because I thought something sounded funny. I tried to explain Oregon Payday Loan laws to her, but she called me names, a b**ch to be exact, and hung up on me. Every time I call the number she gave me, she would hang up. Well, I filed a complaint with Oregon Attorny General, and he sent them a letter. He sent me a copy of the loan companies response yesterday. It was all a bunch of crap. They lied about what they said to me, about who they told me they were. I have ten days to respond to this letter. I am wondering if I should, or just drop it. If I don't respond, they will close the file after ten days. Any suggestions?

What company was contacting you? Bass and Associates? Because we had another member file a complaint on them and they essentially called her a liar as well...But a lot of us are in the process of making the same complaints...IF I were you, I would send a rebuttal stating that they are the ones lying and that since they record their conversations to pull said conversation and give proof of who the liar is...They have done this to numerous people and are under investigation in FL for the illegal actions they take.

swoody, don't give up at all. That means they win. You said that she called you at work? Any chance that your company records phone calls? If so, you could get a copy of the call and place it with the response to your letter... If you aren't that lucky, then you need to be creative in your response. First, you need to call this Cindy chick again, see if you can get them to close your account and mark it PIF. (They may, since you've contacted the AG).
