I have 8 payday loans and I am in a viscous cycle of paying one off and needing another. My bankruptcy was discharged back in January and I bought and new car and ect and was doing good until me and my husband decided to get back together and his teenage daughter caused financial problems. Now they are gone and I am trying to recover. What do I do I can't get a loan to pay them off due to bankruptcy and want to get back on track and me and my husband are separating.

Hi Jean

Welcome to the forums. As the bankruptcy has been discharged from your credit report, you might have to wait for two years to get a mortgage loan. However, it will be possible only if you have managed a good financial profile like the ones who have not filed for bankruptcy.

The creditors will consider the size of the amount that you make in your down payments and the stability in your income will be much more important irrespective of the fact that you have filed for bankruptcy in the past.

As bankruptcy will stay in your credit report for a period of 10 years, you should stress on completing your payments in payday loans which might hamper your credit ratings continuously.

You can take the services of the consolidation programs in order to ease your monthly payments by putting it under one loan amount. Moreover, all the payday loan accounts will be negotiated tactfully by your consultant working in the program. He will try to reduce or settle the debt amount within your reach.

As payday loans hurt the credit ratings largely, consider paying those loans immediately in order to prevent further damage.

You can enter into free counseling by the trained professionals who will work hard to solve your financial worries. Please feed your contact information at the sign up page in this website so that the consultant can get in touch with you shortly.

Contact this company. BHR&Assoc. United Christian Financial (from this website) put me in touch with them. They are handling my payday loans, and got me a settlement for 50% of what I owed on 2 of them.

Also, call your bank and tell them that you want to put stop payments on the pay day loans. That will keep them from coming out. It will probably cost you money as it would be like putting a stop payment on check, but that should give you some breathing room until you can get in touch with BHR.

The way BHR works is you dont pay anything upfront. They will negotiate with the loan companies, and if they get a settlement that you like, you pay them 35% of what you SAVE. So if you had a $500 pay day loan and they negotiated it down to $250. You owe BHR $87.50. They are great to work with!
