Well...Payday is tomorrow...wondering which sleazeball company is going to rob me blind... I've been on the phone with the bank all morning, trying to get an ACH freeze...every person I talk to says a different thing.

Last week it was Westbury - who withdrew 400$ from my account...I put a stop payment on this, and got the money back...but I keep incurring all these stop payment fees.

Uggggg.

Unable to change b/c I filed my income tax direct deposit into this account...and b/c my effin husband owes money to the effin IRS, I had to file "injured spouse" b/c the money owed was prior to our marriage. That in itself takes 11 weeks. 4/23/07 = 11 weeks since I filed...so as soon as that gets put in, the account is history. However, STUPID **** bank isn't being very helpful at the moment. ugggggg

OMG I thought you had closed your account!!
That is the problem with some of these banks. Depending on which person you talk to, and what kind of mood they are in, you get different info. One person says they will take care of it, the next person says they can't help you. Girl, go open a new account!!!!

Haven't been able to close it yet! I do have a new account...but I can't close the old one yet...I'm just going to keep calling the bank all day long until someone gives me what I want. I have a spiel about how My money isn't safe with their bank (and my new account is with them) and that I'm just going to change banks all together. etc. I'll get there eventually, i just need to gripe i guess. I've been in the worst of moods....

Lets not count our chickens before they hatch....

My husband... I cannot believe him!!! I've got to cough up another $600 for his lame **** for some legal trouble he got into (again pre marriage). Uggg. He's all freaked out b/c I'm closing the account...he's worried that my direct deposit won't make it to the new one...giving me a hard time... Wait, its okay if i don't make my car payment, so long as you have money for whatever....UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

I cry every night... just about all night. (don't want my son to know).

Off to the bank now....I'll be back later.

The only reason I was paying it was so that the children didn't suffer! I know that it wasnt my responsibilty but unfortunately their mother is a dim wit as well and will only spend the child support money on the kids nothing else...I am not paying it anymore though. One I cannot afford too do it anymore and two its just not my problem, I hope taht doesnt make me sound cold but I am getting ready to have my own child so priorities have shifted a bit!

Leah,I am not gonna tell you how to do this, but here is how my wife and I had things way back when. My oldest son was fathered by a spermdonor before I showed up. He did not want to see or pay for my son until I locked him up. I never treated that money as house income and my wife was free to use it as she needed to. The child support was so low I was doing more monthly anyway.January I adpoted my oldest son who is 15 now . He even had the nerve to contest the adoption. That was a wrong move because he got the stuffing stomped out of him in court and paid my court costs. I wish you luck with your husband but it sounds like he needs to realize that he has a family so he can grow up. I probably spend almost 300days out of a year on a rig to support my family. It can be rough and lonesome, but this choice was made so I can give them what I didn't have as a kid.

Well bottom line is he is going to have to grow up, he owes the Child support in the State of KY so they are very intolerant of people who get behind on childsupport...It only takes them about three months to take you to court for show of cause and then if you dont start making payments...Its off to the slammer...He started working though so hopefully things are going to get better for us. He is very active in his childrens life and we do see them all the time...Let me state for the record-he did break his back and we just now found a doctor who is helping him with pain managment so I think that now things wil be better(not making excuses for him, I just wanted you all to know that even though he has done some crappy things I think things are going to get better but I am a bit on the naive side)

No no your post does not upset me at all...I appreciate that concern and all the advice. He knows what he needs to do and he appears to be making the steps to do it...but he has fooled me before. We will see what happens here in the next few months now that he is working...He will either pay his child support and help pay the bills or he is on his own. I can be broke and miserable all by myself....

whoa....

First things first, Just got back from the bank...am please as a peach. For the most part...just have to put some fail safes in place for my direct deposit.

secondly...I get about $200 month for child support of my son (not my husbands child). Every single check I've ever gotten has been deposited into my sons savings account. I have NEVER EVER EVER used a penny of that money for anything. I REFUSE to ever use it. Being that its not that much anyway, I'd rather cut off my arm than take it from him. Even though times are tough right now he has every thing he needs, food, shelter, clothing, etc. The only thing we are going without is cable. Thats not a necessity.

Leah - your husbands children are his responsibility. Suffice to say that he is probably just as much a dimwit as the ex is. I honestly think that you need to set some money aside each pay period...in the event that you bail. Don't ever put yourself in the "i have no where to go" situation. Please promise that you'll put away at least $50 a paycheck, without your hubby's knowledge. A just in case fund. You need it, especially once the baby is born.

If I had $50 a payperiod left over to put away, I would have done so a long time ago...Unfortunately I am so far behind on bills that after I pay bills and rent, I have about $30 left for food. And that aint a lot of food. I am actually thinking of getting a part time job(that is going to be rough)

All I can offer is support and let you all know that you are certainly not alone.....I don't know how we have managed to climb out of the whole that we did...due to my illness and his injury a few yrs. back. But crimeny now I owe almost $37,000 worth of student loans....and they won't take payments based on adjusted income...they want us to sign an open ended promissary note and consilidate w/o even telling us what the interest or the payment will be! They were finally honest enough to say that it would be based entirely on gross income with no allowances for any of our other expenses! We spend a small fortune each month just on my Dr. bills. So it was driving me crazy....I cried all week until I found this site a few days ago. We just have to hang in there...I guess they can't eat us....at least that's what I've been told...LOL....but then I have been told a lot of things....thinking of you guys!

Update:

yesterday I had the bank put a freeze on my old account, and had my direct deposit redirected into the new account! I had a hard time withdrawing money from my account this morning, b/c of all the freezes/holds etc. but thats totally ok, at least i know my money is safe from these hounds!!! I had the bank deny any ach withdrawls, only purchases made w/ my debit card will go through, and deposits of course. THats good news!

One more question: When I filed out the fraud paperwork for GFS and Westbury - did I purger (sp) myself? I did at authorize them at one time, and revoked that authorization...so I don't think i purgerd myself, i just want to be sure... I have a feeling these guys are going to call and say that I did...
