Hi,

Please help me with following queries:-

[list=a]
  • Do people discuss their debt/credit issues with you (in Churches, family gatherings, social meets, ..)?
  • What are the issues they generally have?
  • What solutions do you offer? Do you face problems in explaining them the solution?

    Thanks
    Vikas

  • Close friends know first hand some of the things I have gone through, although I don't give out too much personal information; I give them informative tips to help with their situation. Also advice on how to avoid payday loans, how to seek help with the electric company, the reprecussions there are with NSFs, how to deal with stress, etc.

    A few really close friends discuss debt and credit issues with me-I have a couple friends that are hiding debt from their husbands so they talk to me about it. Like Teleport I don't give out too much personal information except with my coworker who is in the same pdl mess that I am. I try to give advice on dealing with CA's, differences between debt settlement/consolidation, dealing with utility companies, worst case scenarios, etc. I don't usually face problems explaining solutions-most are really happy for advice.

    yes for some strange reason I find poeple...even strangers are very open with me. But, I think it is because I am up front about my issues...so they feel comfortable to start talking. In my experience, family (except for our children) are the least likely to admit they are in trouble.

    Credit Cards, PDL's, student loans, and for many, many older ones simply paying bills and still getting health care and food.

    The solution I would offer would completely depend upon the individual and their particular issues. And, no I have absolutely no problem in explaining and offering advice I if I have the correct info. And, if I don't...I usually try to find it out for them.

    And I would definitely direct anyone here for help.
