As many of you all know I have a sick little boy. I traveled to UVA with him after being assured in my state that he had no problems with his colon. Well folks he does and it is serious. For the next twenty days he will be on medication if this does not work he will possibly have to have some very complicated surgery. I really need your prayers. I have not been able to be on very much but I am always thinking of you all. This news has been about the last straw for me I dont think I can take a whole lot more. Take Care and I will keep you all updated. KYSIDE38

OK - Kyside - take a good deep breath and a step back. You know that you are in my prayers, and you have to keep a sane head about you for your little guys sake. Just remember that you are his only advocate so fight hard for him and ask all the questions that you can think of even if you think that they are stupid - ask. Make a list of everything that you want to know if you have. Rembember - the docs are there to do their job as scientists - they do not have any attachment to your little guy.so use their knowledge to your advantage and I know that all will be well. You and your little gut and family are on the prayer line. Any thing that I can do let me know - I am here and you know how to get a hold of me. Lots of love, prayers and keep in touch.

Oh hun....please know that you are in my prayers! I know this is a really, really hard time. My grandson was born with his entire upper and lower instestines exposed on the outside of his body. And, hun...he just turned 14 this month and is perfectly fine. I will say to you to try to take it easy...but, I know that it is impossible too when you are facing these very scary things concerning your children. But, please know God is with you and your boy! God Bless! May the peace of the Lord be with you!

Thanks Everybody, My son is 10 just turned ten. He has been battling this for some time. I have taken him to doctors in this state and was told this is a toilet training problem also he is holding it because he is in school. I just had tests ran and the doctor here informed me your son is ok. Nothing at all out of the ordinary. Thank God I didnt cancel that appointment at UVA. The doctor looked at the X-Rays and confirmed my worst nightmare. Hirsprungs Disease or sometimes called MegaColon. This has went on for4 so long that he is in danger of his colon bursting. Right now we are all rigourous medications. He is trying to finish this year of school so he really needs your prayers. I Love You All So Much. I will be here to lend a helping hand when I can. I can so understand your frustration. My son was found to have a health problem at 5, and yet they all told me "well there is something wrong, but we don't know what, so I guess you will have to wait until he needs a kidney transplant." WHAT? so of course, like you I kept searching, and found a doctor that knew what it was right away. He is never going to be cured, but his symptoms are managed well. Please know that my thoughts are with you, and I truly know what that helpless - ready to lose it feeling is like. Faith and your little boy will be your strength and you can get through this. Take care - sending hugs & prayers to you.

Kyside, I am so sorry to hear about your son. Of course, you and your son are in my prayers. Hopefully the medication will work and that's all he'll need. I wish I could hug you and your son right now. Things have to start looking up for you soon. Let us know how he's doing. Love ya.
