Hello all,

I am not sure how to proceed with some of my payday loans. In particular, I need advise on how to handle my loan with Cashnetusa. I am wondering if I can settle my account for a lesser amount than they are requesting. I live in Wisconsin, and had a $300 loan with them, with a bi-weekly refinance fee of $69. Previously, I had paid off two prior loans to this loan defaulting. I am in default by three months now. They only offered me an option of paying it off in 2 payments of $184.12, but with trying to keep current with my other bills, it's just not feasible at this time.

Thanks to all for their help!

You need to write a proposal letter to CashNetUSA and send the money along with it. If they cash your check, it will be understood that they are willing to work with you. Make sure that you send it through certified mail with return receipt requested. This will leave a proof of your actions taken to resolve the matter.

Cashnetusa will often say they won't accept a payment plan, but if you do as Orake says and just send them a money order with the proposal, they will cash it. They can be difficult to arrange payment plans that are affordable with, but if you keep sending them money regularly, they will accept it.

Wow...well, that gives me comfort! Leah, how long have you been sending about $20 a month, and if I may also ask, how much did you originally owe them?

Did you use MoneyGram or Western Union to send in payments? I wish I could use cashier's check or money order, but I am not sure if they accept those. I thought I saw it as on option on an email they send me, but unfortunately I deleted it. When I spoke to the lady in collections she wanted my credit card (NO THANKS) or Western Union/Moneygram.

Does anyone know the address of payday-loans-yes? I also have a loan and wish to pay it off by money orders sent monthly. They refuse to do that over the phone or via e-mail.
