Payday loan companies you "owe" money to (read that as: you are demanding a PIF) stop contacting you altogether?

I have a different phone number, but I've sent email after email and fax after fax, and no one is contacting me.

What does this mean?
Has this happened to you?

Somtimes it is a good thing. It means they've decided to leave you alone. On two of the pdl's I had, I considered that a sucess becuase they were impossible to deal with. They haven't contacted me for quite a while, and the "debts" aren't reported anywhere.

It could also mean they sold the debt to a collection agency, and they just haven't contacted you yet. Or they could just be waiting until they think you've "forgotten" about them and will call out of the blue and try their tactics again.

TenDollarPaydayLoan and their many names they go by. They offered me a settlement that I refused, and they never got back with me. It's been two weeks.

Discount Advances -- still do not have a valid email for them. Sent faxes.

Cash Today LTD. Overpaid these people for nearly a whole year. Wanted 100 to settle. I said no. The BBB and the AG can't track them down. Was told they are overseas. I'm not too worried about them.

Route 66 was the one I had that finally stopped calling me and I call that a success. They are overseas too.

Two weeks isn't very long. I wouldn't assume that they've given up until you haven't heard anything for a couple months.

Are you still sending out emails, faxes, and letters? I would, just in case. You may want to let them know that even if they have "forgot", you aren't forgetting.

I never heard back from United Cash Loans either, until they sent that "check" through. No letters, no emails, nothing and then boom. All I can say is to keep an eye on your accounts if you have not closed them out and changed them because the will getcha. I hope that something can be done about this "check" they say I authorized, but don't know. It was for $65.
