I cant begin to tell you how scared i am. I have check n go for over 700.00, pay day loan store for over 600.00 and first cash advance for over 500.00 all taken at the same time and in aurora, IL. I am broke, and nothing in the frige. check n go gave me a "repayment plan" by writing out 10 checks allposted dated . I have stopped payment on two of them. they called me yesterday and said they are starting collections. i did not call back. i do not know what to do. someone please help me.

thank you
james

Are these all storefront loans? If so you will need to make arrangements with them to pay back what you borrowed because most storefronts follow state's laws and can take you to court if you default. Go to paydayloaninfo.org and look up the laws for your state. Try to relax. More will be along with advice for you. We have been there! You need to eat first and foremost but it is better that you be up front with these places and they will be more understanding and willing to help you.

You will find the Payday loan laws for Illinois here (just select your state),

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

They are required to let you set up a payment plan. Since you defaulted on that, they can start the collection process. But first and foremost you need to take care of the necessities. Then you can worry about the other stuff. I would pay them what you can afford each month, be it $10. At least it will show that you are making an effort to repay the debt. You may want to close the bank account you have, that way you will be able to use your whole paycheck and only pay these places what you can afford to.

Is the second loan an internet one? If so, they may not be licensed to lend in your state and they may not be following the laws.

James - Since they are all storefront loans, you will need to work something out with them. You may want to call your state's banking dept at 888-298-8089. Tell them your situation and they may be able to help you work something affordable out with each company. Since they are storefronts your state will have more pull with them. It also looks like you have more then 2 loans. This is breaking the law in your state. These storefronts shouldn't have lent to you after you hit 2 loans. So your banking dept may be able to help you with that too.

Don't be scared. A lot of us here have been in the same situation. These payday loan places prey on people's fears. You have to gain back power and control over your own life and finances. It's going to be hard but you can do it. Read the other posts about payday loans and you will see you are not alone. Get educated and arm yourself with knowledge.
