I would forward that to your attorney general as well as the FTC....I would also advise them that yuo are doing so. They cannot threaten you with fraud...also they cannot require you to pay by moneygram only...They have to accept Money orders or cashier checks..They can say no to a personal check but who wants them to have your banking info anyway right?

I would go one step further and cc the original sender when forwarding to gov. agencies - then they can see that you are filing complaints against them and will take you more seriously. I really would like to kow who these companies are reporting the ss# 's too, and if they are reporting them to someone - isn't this illegal? I am wondering if the Social Security Department is aware of this threat? I think that you should report them to that department also.
