I have a debt with at least 2 or 3 pdl companys. I only make about 500- 600 $ a week, but after my child support and insurance payments are taken out of my check, I only take home between 200- 300$ a week. I have only been able to pay the stupid renewal fees and the debt just keeps climbing. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have a $300 balance with ameriloan
A $100 balance with Paychecktoday.com
And an obscene balance of $2600 with Cashcall
I live in Connecticut.
I don't know what to do and am in serious financial trouble. Plus my credit rating in garbage, so no trying to get a low intrest loan to pay any of these companies off.

What was the original loan amount for ameriloan and Paycheck today???
Cashcall is not technically considered a PDL...they are considered a loan company so I dont know that I can offer you much advice on that one..I do know that they charge an obscene amount in interest. I know thier loan for 5 grand ends up costing over 21 grand

Ok so in Ct, PDL's are illegal which means that neither company should have ever lended to you. FIrst thing you need to do is: CLOSE YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT AND OPEN A NEW ONE. That is so you can regain financial control over your life. This step is important, if you read through the threads you will see many people were debited continuously and into the negative!

Secondly, you need to send a letter to both PDL's recoking a)their right to debit your account(they will still try to do so but this way your behind is covered) and b)revoking any voluntary wage assignment that you may have signed c)telling them that PDL's are prohibited in CT and as such these loans are paid in full and request a PIF letter.

Third-YOu need to notify your payroll dept that you have revoked any voluntary wage assignment, that way these companies cannot try to take your paycheck! Then you need to file complaints on both the companies with your Attorney General. Asfar as the cashcall, I would contact the number in the law section i sent you because it seems your state has a certain cap on loans so maybe they can offer you some assistance on that one
