United cash loans is killing me

this company is killing me! They have emailed me every day this week claiming that I still owe $270 on a $250 loan that I have paid back $460 on. Anyway, they tell me that I can convienantly pay this debt by using paypinion(a safe and secure website) and then list an email address, the mail I have sent to this address always gets returned undeliverable. Well today I emailed their compliance and customer service and finally got a response: We do not have an account under this name.

Really?? Then why are you emailing it? And I gave them the account number given to me by their company!

What is that all about???

OMG I hate UCL. Weird.

Report them to your state attorney general's office. Also, go through your state laws for once and know the charges permissible in your state. In this way, you will be sure that you are putting up a valid complaint against UCL and they are charging more than the actual amount.

Leah, when I called them the other day I asked them about responding to the AG and they told me they already did. When I contacted the person in the AG's office about it they said they had never heard a word for them. They are now trying to contact them again. I think it is safe to say they won't respond to the AG. UCL lies, I hate them.

They did this to me as well. It took them months to respond to the AG after I filed complaints against them. They also lied in that as well as their response to the BBB. Did you file in your state only or Oklahoma as well? Since you have overpaid them, I would stick to your guns on this issue.

I filed in both of them but have never heard anything at all from Oklahoma...I do hear from the OH Ag occassionaly with just an email statiing they are still waiting for a response
