I just renewed a loan with worldwidecashnow. I know it's stupid but I was desperate because I didn't want to bounce my electric bill. I have 2 checking accounts open at the moment and used the one I am going to close as soon as my husband's direct deposit gets switched over. I requested a written copy of the loan documents be faxed to me and they told me that all they can send is the ACH authorization and that they cannot provide in writing the loan amount ($200.00)or what was agreed to. I did the loan application over the phone because I was a previous customer. When I called and spoke with a supervisor she stated there was no record of me ever having a loan before and they could not provide me with anything but the ACH agreement. I will probably extend the loan next payday and pay them off in full on the next but I need to know what you think of this. Also, I defaulted on UCL and set up arrangements with their collections dept but need to change those arrangements. I have probably overpaid UCL by a lot and am not sure what to do. I am in Arizona.

Hi Mamallama,

Keep at them on sending you a copy of the loan agreement. In my experience with dealing with this company, they will tell you anything. They even told me that they were paperless. I thought that was amazing, they are paperless but they sent me the loan documents. As for United Cash Loans, I have yet to find a state they are licensed in and I am surprised they agreed to payment arrangements. How much did you borrow from UCL? If you have paid back the principal amount then you need to send them a letter demanding the account be marked paid in full. But only if you have paid back the principal.

well, they didn't exactly agree to the payment arrangements. They asked how much and when I could pay and I told them but now I think I shouldn't pay them anything. According to them, I owe $175.00. $100.00 towards the principle, $45 in fees and $30 return fee. I originally had a $200.00 loan at $60.00 interest each rollover...It's rolled over 4 times and on the 5th and 6th time I have paid down the principal by $50.00. If my calculations are correct, I've overpaid by $20.00. Do I call them back and ask to have my account paid in full? I will send the letter, but now I'm afraid that since I've already agreed to another arrangement that there will be repercussions. Has anyone had any luck having their account paid in full with UCL? Or getting any money back? I'm not sure I want money back, but I don't want (and can't) pay them anything on my next payday. Advice?

Once again Tammy is right. United Cash is part of MTE Financial dba Rio Resources. They are not licensed and they run and hide from the law all the time. I wouldnt pay another dime. If you have paid back the principal so be it. This company needs to be brought down. KYSIDE38
