So you are trying to get money back from Payday Select? I have a past due account with them and called to try to work out a payment plan. I took out a $500 loan and now the balance is $741.00. Brandy said they would settle if I paid them $500.00. I have already paid 374.00 in fees alone. What should I do??

I live in Wisconsin and my husband and I both have a loan through Payday Select for the last 6 months. Are they licensed in Wisconsin? What if they are not licensed? Do I have any recourse? I am in the process of working with Green Path but do I still owe Payday Select. I have paid interest for 6 months. thanks

If you have been paying interest for 6 months they may owe you money under the laws of your state. I think I read that Wisconsin has an 18% maximum interest rate. Someone will post your state laws here. You can find them on this site somewhere. Try typing in Wisconsin Laws in the searc box above. I would go to your bank and stop the ACH withdrawals immediately. If the bank can't do that without charging you, close your account and open a new one. Pay Day Select will then have to deal with you directly. Do not let them intimidate you. You can win this one.
