Coronado, are these internet or storefront loans? It's not always a good idea to close your account when dealing with storefronts, since they generally follow the lending laws.

Fins is right, if they are store front loans, they usually follow the law, and also will take you to court. Try to work something out with them if they are store front loans. Internet loans are a whole different matter!!..KAren

Karen and Fins are right. Storefronts are tricky to deal with. Set up arrangements with them and then close the account so the internet ones cant get to it. Also people especially the one in Virginia send those complaints in. I know the Virginia Attorney Generals office is looking into these payday loans. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

I have all online loans in the amount of 2100.00 I have paid almost2000.00 in interest. I get paid this friday and i wanted to know if there was anything I could do before friday to stop them from debiting my acount? I cant even afford to pay my mortage. i have 8 pdls. Can you contact your payroll department and see if there is any chance that you can get a paper check this week instead of direct deposit? If that doesn't work, call your bank and find out if they can block all ACH debits from coming out of your account. Please take a deep breath and try to relax. We will help you through this. I had my checks go paper when the same thing was going on in my life. You should have enough time to do it if you act qiuickly and stress that it is an emergency. ADP was my payroll company and they had a real "it will happen when it happens" attitude. I had to get to the right person. They made me fax a written request. You must also go to the bank and request a block on your account against ACH. Good Luck
