Okay well today i spoke to someone from cash today and found out that when they intially set my loan up they told me they were webcash, then they debited my account using webcash once then they started debiting from cash today. when i called the company and confronted them they were very nasty. I told them that it was illegal for them to operate in my state and that my state does not allow rollovers the man said well if you knew we were illegal then why did you borrow money from us and they hung up on me twice. I was devastated, i just dont know what to do, but i am going to the bank and stop the ach from them definately. they were not professional and just didnt care and they made it known. my loan was for 200 and so far i have paid them 225 and they told me that i owe them 265 more. What do i need to do next, I know this is just the beginning. I need advice plz how do i go by contacting the american general.

nyah, you really need to close that account and open a new one. They will keep using different names to debit your account and do it in different amounts, too. Don't let these people intimidate you. You did not know that they were illegal when you took out the loan. Which state are you in again? Sometimes it is easier to deal with these companies by email or USPS if you are easily intimidated like I am!!! I am not good with confrontation over the phone!!!

Hey sassy, I am in virginia. i have came across some money and i was wondering if it would be smart to pay off the principal of the loans and just not pay the finance charges. Legally i would be considered paid in full but not with the company.

As long as legally you would be paid in full that is what I recommend...As far as the guy telling you that if you knew PDls were illegal why did you get one..It is the lenders responsibility to be aware of that! Send them the principal and demand they mark your account paid in full

Sassy when u say pay off principal balance do u mean pay them what i borrowed or take the all the times they financed the loan and subtract that from the total balance.
