Since some of us (including me) have been a little stressed lately I think that we should have a little light hearted fun in here and some of us can get to know each other better. What does everyone think? If you think this is dumb, just ignore me.....how did everyone come up with their user name?

My name is for 2 of my dogs. I have three long haired dachshunds. My oldest is Sassy-actually her name is Sassafras Van Halen. When we got her we already picked out the name Sassafras and a Van Halen song was on when we were taking her home, so she just became Sassafras Van Halen. She is 6 1/2. My middle dog is Lucy Lu Mon Frer. She will be 2 tomorrow. I had no intentions on buying her the day I did but we fell in love with her and then I asked my mother in law to borrow the money to get her and she said if she loaned it to me I had to name her after her....my mother in law's name is Dorothy. There was no way I was calling my dog Dorothy. Well her middle name is Lucille so I said, how about we call her Lucy. So she became Lucy Lu. Don't ask me how the mon frer got started cause I don't know. Just one day my husband called her mon frer. The baby is Abigail Kaleidescope, aka Tiny or Little T or Abbie Dabbie Doo. She is almost 5 months old. She is a dapple and has a lot of colors on her face so that is why her middle name is Kaleidescope. Now you know how I came up with the user name Sassnlucy. I have been using that name in various places for a couple years. I know I should incorporate Abbie into it too but Sassnlucy is just so much easier than Sassnlucynabbie!!! I guess this was more of a thread of how I named my dogs and I doubt anyone cares but oh well.....:)


Leah you crack me up :lol: ! and I think this is a great idea Sass! I have always loved the Moon/stars and the nightsky. I feel really connected out on a clear calm night. So there is the Moon part and Danzer is simply the only way to get the name ......by doing a mispell on the word dancer....thus MoonDanzer! Also, is a little chosen due to my Cherokee heritage.....of which I know very little....but am very proud of. So there...gots 2 go find Tweety and get started on doing some music!

I wanted a name to open a website that sold eclectic and unusual items. I took the town Dogpatch that Lil Abner was from and changed it to Frogpatch. I also happen to like frogs and all other animals for that matter. I own the domain name frogpatch.com but have not had the resources to pursue it yet. Leah! Shame on you. I do not ever want to hear you talk about yourself like that. There are no losers, only people who have learned what not to do. Thomas Edison failed one thousand times before he succeeded. He said he simply "found a thousand ways that didn't work." I would not call him a loser would you? What you say about yourself is very powerful. It goes from your mouth to your ears and into your mind. You believe it because you trust the person who said it and enventually become it. My user name is my last name, family (I have a wonderful husband and two gorgeous baby boys) and then 16 which is my husbands soccer number and 04 which is my soccer number.

Leah, you are not a loser. I happen to like the name Leah!!!! frogpatch, I liked your story about your name. I was wondering how you got it. My boss is really into frogs too. Neat that you own the domain name..I will be waiting for you to get it going! Welcome back wellsfamily, haven't seen you in a while. Thanks everyone for responding!! Mine is from high school I had a little car back then and everybody called me puddlejumper because of my car then we were into the cb thing so they gave me that handle. Everybody used to say that I would drown in a rain puddle because my car was so small lol. So thats how puddlejmpr came about.

My mom has a maine coon cat that weighs 30 lbs! Leah has a 20lb cat too I think. When I was in high school I dated a guy with a white Monza and my husband said he used to have one too that he bought for like $500. Yeah, you don't see too many cb's anymore.....but I still think they were fun!

When I was in college one of my friends' told a guy whowas hitting on me not to get my "Irish"up. He thought that it was my name (needless to say we were at a frat party and you know how much drinkng goes on) and after that it just stuck and that is how I got my nickname - the 51 and cc are my age when I got my e-mail and my initials. OOOPS - I just gave my age away - yea I am a DOL - for those of you who don't know what a DOM is I am female equivalent - Dirty old lady! :D

Mine is simple...Since football is my passion, and I'm a huge Miami Dolphins fan, I use Finsfan..Because the Dolphins are frequently called the fins, and #13 is for Dan Marino, the greatest QB ever to play the game. Finsfan13 is also my license plate number, my email addy, and I have a tattoo on my lower back of "touchdown", the fins' mascot, complete with helmet..And a tiny #13 on his tail. How's that for tribute?

Okay fins...I gotta' give you Marino....he was 1 of the best....but, I'm old enough to remember Staubach...maybe not much in the A** dept.....but still 1 heck of a QB. I just love all of you guys....this place is the ultimate escape...not saying that I would need an escape from anything :lol: Hum maybe I should start watching football again...you got me to thinkin'...and that usually always causes a problem :shock: :lol:

LOL, Moon, I'm not old enough to remember Staubach, but I am a fb historian...I can out-football any man, and that is a fact! As a matter of fact, I am planning to write a (dry) football history book in the next few years. Anyhow, The love of my life has always been Paul Hornung. I just re-read his autobiography for the 50th time, and I drooled over the pics again.

BTW, you don't even have to watch football around here, trust me, just read my signature about a month before season starts..I keep the updates going!!

Mine is very simple to....I have 2 kids in band, so 2nband. Not very original, but it works.

Sassylucy, read your dogs name and I have a poodle we named Sassy and sometimes call her Sassafrass. Needless to say the name "Sassy" fits her because she is sassy. She also rules the roost and is the youngest of my 3 dogs, Chico (chow/shephard mix) and Belle (lab/setter mix).

Aw, 2nband...another Sassy!! My Sassy is sassy too...the name just fits her. Maybe I will post pics of the dogs here in a little bit. Funny, I always thought maybe you and your husband were in a band and that was how you got your name!

I was in the chorus too. I loved it. But put me in front of an instrument and I am all hands or something. My husband plays bass guitar and my stepdaughter plays electric guitar. I bought a really nice keyboard a couple of years ago and took a few lessons but I just wasn't getting it so now it is in my spare room collecting dust.
