Campos Chartered Law/ Hess Kennedy

I got taken for $3500 with this company. And HK wouldn't refund any of my money like they were suppose to. Campos told me I would get back at least $1249. Well HK wouldn't grant the claim I filled. They all suck pure and simple

Well, looks like HK and Campos fooled you all seeing as they are being brought in for criminal actions by the DA in Florida...if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is!!! HK and Campos are first class crooks and should be locked up for the rest of their miserable lives. I pray that all of you defending HK and Campos get your money back, good luck! By the way, I asked all of my creditors about their services roughly two years ago and every single one said to stay away...hmmmmmm....

All I know is that Campos Law Firm scammed me out of 2K and I also would like to know when if any $$$ is coming my way due to the court receivership?

I was also taken for over 2k...I called them to ask if I could recieve my funds back but no luck. They said they can't release funds until the judge orders it...which she claimed to be mid november to late dec. Is their anyway to get my money sooner times are rough and i'm looking at moving cause my company isn't doing to hot

I was taken for over 2k as well on their little scam...I called their office to see when I would be recieving my refund and she adviced me that the judge hasn't released the funds and won't do so until mid november till late dec. Is there any truth to this matter? All I know is that my company is going under and that money will be a good buffer from falling on my face. If anyone has an answer it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you all debt settlement or bankruptcy clients that had issues with Hess?

What can you do when a collection company takes over a charge off from your original creditor but re-ages the debt. In my situation, I had a charge off in April 2004, and the collection company that bought the debt in late 2004, has just recently re-aged the debt to 2007, on my credit report. Although the collection company has sent me statements, i have never called them or made any attempt to settle the debt. is this legal? I live in California.

What you described is not cool.
You will need to dispute the re-aging with the reporting agencies though.

You are in the drivers seat on this as the SOL has tolled.

My husband and I wasted 8 months worth of payments on Campos. We made the pymts to them and they were suppose to deal with the credit card companies. Now Campos is out of business and Hess Kennedy is handling repayment of approx 25% of our money. These idiots preyed on desperate people trying to make their lives better. Karma is a bad thing and will get them!!!

Let me guess, did Jeff Campos offer you a way to eliminate your debt without paying any of it using the Fair Credit Billing Act? And you accepted this offer correct? And now you are complaining? Think about what you are saying. "Some guy offered me a way to eliminate credit card debt that was used to buy gas, televisions, etc. and the government shut him down because Chase Bank told them too and now I want my money back"

Go look up the words "In Pari Delicti" The law firms eliminated $150,000,000 in Chase Debt, HSBC Debt, and Capital One Debt that was not even included in the refund of monies.

Anyone who is in here complaining needs to shut up. For real. . this is like complaining when your Cocaine dealer shorts you on an eight ball . . . .

The attorneys at Hess were supposed to be disbared, according to what I was told by those in the Florida AG's office. I paid over $2700 into Compos Charter Law and only got $600 back, and if anyone is stupid enough to sign up with Compos/Hess then all you are doing is throwing your money away. They can't practice in Florida, there is a class action Law suite against them for the lost moneys and those who lost money in Florida will soon be contacted about signing on to retreve there losses. So, as I said, don't be stupid and go with them, call the bar referal, or the States Attorneys ofice, they have free places where you can go to get your credit back on line.
